Dry Stone Masonry Workshops
Dry stone masonry is stone masonry without mortar. It was practiced long before the time of the Romans and even the Egyptians. In fact, it has been said that if the Egyptians had used mortar the pyramids would not still be standing. Dry stone masonry works best with retaining walls for landscaping and in free-standing walls. The participant will leave with the ability to build dry stone walls. (NOTE: Bring gloves and steel toe shoes if you want to protect your hands and feet). Only basic tools are necessary and will be provided.
Bring a lunch and safety glasses.
